Greetings of Devotion,
It’s autumn, the season of descent into shadows, spirits, and Hekate’s sacred darkness. This time of year holds such mystery to me, for it was about twenty years ago that Hekate called to me. There was no grand ceremony, no thunderclap. Instead, she crept in like the dawn. I simply started going out onto my deck before the dawn, lighting a single candle, and sitting there in the quiet space, opening myself to Hekate. I had no plan. I was simply an empty vessel, and She was the flame.
Over the years, as I transitioned from a solitary seeker into an author and a teacher who’s been fortunate to guide many students through the mysteries, that daily practice remains my unshakeable anchor. I dwell at her crossroads, whether in my private practice or as a High Priestess. I didn’t set out for any of this. I simply wanted to connect with Hekate, and walk an authentic path following her torches wherever they led me. Hekate offered a key, and I claimed it. I continue to keep that key. My personal devotional practice is so important to me that I choose to focus on it and my teaching and writing. I’m not one to post much on the socials, flooding inboxes, and the like. Devotion matters to me. Part of that is the three tenets I wrote about in the KHK book: passion, kindness and integrity.
Today, the digital world is flooded with superficial distraction. We are constantly pressured to perform our spiritual lives for an audience instead of living them authentically. But true devotion is the exact opposite of performance. It is passion, kindness and integrity. Devotion isn’t an escape from the realities of life, it’s an anchor. It’s the passion to follow her torches. The kindness to center ourselves in our practice. The integrity to step out of the mundane matrix and prioritize what is sacred. This matters now more than ever.
Join me for the free live class on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at 11:00 AM ET for ritual, meditation, talk and practice, plus a preview of The Via Hekate course.
Whether your daily practice is currently thriving, or you are standing at a crossroads feeling completely overwhelmed by the demands of the mundane matrix yet called by Hekate to her magnetic threshold, I am inviting you to step into the quiet sanctuary with me.
I’ll look directly at the ancient historical roots, the academic context, and the practice of modern devotion. We’ll align our collective current as a living coven with a short ritual, The Triformis of Devotion, then experience a guided meditation to Hekate’s Crossroads, followed by a group oracle reading. Then I’ll talk about the meaning of devotion. After this class, you’re welcome to stay to learn more about the Via Hekate program that starts Oct. 10. Or not. The class is completely free with no obligation to stay for the final segment when I discuss the course.
If you can’t attend live, I’ll send out the recording to everyone registered afterwards.
The classroom-temple is nearly fully formed. Our core group of 70+ dedicated, advancing practitioners is already gathered at the threshold, and the gates are preparing to close for the season. This means that there’s about 10 seats left in the course because I cap it around 80, to ensure that everyone (including me) has a deep experience, not only with the curriculum but in the community.
Ready to cross the threshold now? You don’t have to wait until Saturday to claim your space at the altar. You can join The Via Hekate immediately with a free three-day preview. This private entry pass grants you instant access to read the detailed 33-page course syllabus, download my complete guidebook on Devotion to Hekate, and begin studying our primary course text, Spiritual Evolution in Modern Hekatean Witchcraft.
I’ll see you at the threshold of The Via Hekate,
Cyndi
